The course provides a step-by-step approach to restoring teeth with structural loss using indirect adhesive techniques. Participants will learn how to select the appropriate type of restoration, design it correctly, and understand the full workflow from tooth preparation to cementation. Key topics include biomechanics, adhesive concepts, immediate dentin sealing, build-up techniques, impression-taking, materials for reconstruction and cementation, and both classic and modern cementation protocols.
The course is aimed at general dentists and stomatologists.
The purpose of this course is to teach students the practical and theoretical skills to restore teeth that have experienced loss of dental structure through the use of indirect adhesive restorations. Throughout the course we will teach students the criteria to choose the different indirect restorations, how to design them correctly, as well as the different forms of provisionalisation and cementation that can be used.
The course will predominantly be practical. Each practical session will be preceded by a theoretical session, based on the literature, which will describe the forthcoming practical session.
DESIGN AND CUT OF INLAYS
Explanation of the different types of inlays, their design and indications.
Cutting inlays, onlays and overlays in large plaster models, in order to learn how to design them correctly.
