OVERVIEW

The Level 7 Diploma in Tourism Management will equip you will the skills needed for senior level management within the tourism and hospitality industry. The diversity and continued growth of this industry has brought about an increased need for skilled and flexible managers who are able to operate at a range of levels. This course is ideal for both national and international professionals within the industry who have the drive to further develop their skills in management and push their career to new levels. This programme is also relevant for recent graduates looking to take the next step and acquire specialist knowledge necessary to manage operations at middle or senior level management or consultancy work.



This programme will focus on the contexts of globalisation, contemporary issues, commercialisation, decision making and destination management. Being entrepreneurial in this industry is important, this requires you to incorporate good leadership and management values whilst showing awareness of the ethical, cultural, political, social and environmental issues. After the completion of this level you will have mastered self-management, learning and research skills, teamwork and corporate social responsibility.

- Advanced Research Methods for Tourism and Hospitality



LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Demonstrate an understanding of fashion marketing and retailing

Evaluate the essentials of fashion forecasting

Deploy the aspects of visual merchandising strategies within retail sector

Critically review the impact of e-tailing in fashion





PROGRESSION

On completion of this programme you will be able to pursue a wide range of career opportunities such as Senior Managers and Consultants within major tourism companies, tourism development bodies and local authorities. You may also choose to set up your own business or move onto research and lecturing. Alternatively, on successful completion of this programme you have the opportunity to convert your award into a Master',s degree from a number of approved partners or progress onto post-graduate research.
