This course is accredited by Edexcel.
By covering topics such as crime, contract, public law and law in practice, alongside an introduction to the legal system as a whole, you will gain an essential grounding in one of the world&rsquo,s most prestigious professions.
Go directly to a law degree
Successfully completing this course provides access onto the first year of the Law LLB we offer through the University of London (External).
Progress to the HND (final year)
This course forms the first year of the 2 year Edexcel Higher National Diploma (HND) Law. This means you can join the HND final year after your HNC to get a broader legal overview before starting your degree or career.
Future roles with an HNC can include Legal Executive or Probation Officer. The core practical skills you will acquire, however, are always in demand throughout the private and public sectors.
Moving onto the LLB opens the door to a career as a Solicitor or Barrister.
Study in world-renowned legal capital
Studying in London puts some of the world&rsquo,s most high-profile legal firms, courts and organisations within easy reach. There are few better places to embark on your legal career. The Houses of Parliament, the Law Courts and the Inns of Court are all situated close to St Patrick&rsquo,s. This provides an unparalleled opportunity to observe the law in action.
Your one year, full-time study programme is made up of ten units designed to develop your familiarity with the foundations of law and the later expansion of this knowledge. This can be achieved through either relevant employment or further legal studies at St Patrick&rsquo,s.
