Creating a computer game or application from scratch requires a lot of patience, dedication and skill. Over a period of just 10 weeks you could obtain the knowledge and skills needed to make a game or app worthy of download from the App Store or Google Play store.
This part-time course will introduce you to the key development processes used when designing computer games and apps. As the course assumes no prior knowledge, you do not need to be experienced in programming to enrol.
Using industry recognised software such as Adobe Flash and Game Maker, you will be immersed in an experimental environment. First of all, you will be familiarised with the programs used to make games and apps. Once confident in your abilities, you will have creative freedom to unleash upon your game and app design.
Throughout the duration of the course you will create an avatar interface game, a treasure hunt game, a picture puzzle game, and an adventure game. You will also produce a biography app and a city tour app. Your creations will then be assessed by your tutors, all of whom have backgrounds in game and app design.
